This was just an appropriate option for a quick stopover in Woolstone (Oxfordshire), great for the money. The staff were very friendly and tolerant of the 4 children during our stay, which made it enjoyable. Consider reserving a seat early for dinner as they serve first-class catering.

Couple's Getaway, Worth it
The bed was super comfy and big! I loved sitting by the cozy fire in the pub, food was superb—all meals delicious!
It wasn't exactly cheap, but it was still reasonable.

The twin room felt like a mini apartment. Spacious living area downstairs, comfortable bedroom upstairs. The bathroom was spotless and stylish. I really enjoyed the food. the pizzas were fantastic! The lovely garden added charm but the bar area felt a bit dark. The menu had limited options one afternoon when I visited, and some food items felt overpriced for a light lunch. Staff were friendly but some areas, like the carpet and sofa, could have used a thorough cleaning. The front door lock was concerning since a screwdriver was holding it shut. a pleasant stay with good food, but some maintenance is needed.

Cozy escape with great breakfast
Had a nice stay in a comfy twin room. The breakfast was amazing, and the bar area was super chill. The only thing was that it took a bit to get served at times, but the staff were friendly and quick to help. The location is perfect for some lovely countryside walks too.

Charming atmosphere and fantastic food!
I recently spent two nights at this lovely pub, and it was a delightful experience. The spacious double room was beautifully maintained, providing all the comforts I needed. I especially enjoyed the wood-fired pizzas for dinner, absolutely delicious and expertly made. The full English breakfast was a perfect way to start my day, leaving me well-fueled for exploring around. The only minor hiccup was the Wi-Fi, which could be improved for those needing constant connectivity.
